Supervision for counsellors
I'm Shelley, and alongside my own counselling practice, I offer supervision to counsellors, trainees and those already qualified, through Cheltenham's Counselling Supervision Centre, CCSC, which runs through my Cheltenham's Counselling Centre practice.
Who I supervise, and how
I supervise counsellors at both stages: training toward qualification, and already qualified and in practice.
Supervision isn't run the same way as my counselling. It's a different relationship, with a different job to do. Where counselling follows what's going on for a client, supervision follows what's going on for you in your own practice: your cases, your process, and how the work is landing on you. I work integratively.
How supervision runs
Supervision runs to 1.5 hours a month. Take that as one 90 minute session, or split it into two 45 minute sessions, whichever suits your practice better.
Available online, by telephone, or face to face. The rate is set out on my fees page.
Before you get in touch
My supervision training, qualification and model
I'm Level 5 certificated in relational supervision, and I work integratively.
Availability
I'm taking on new supervisees at the moment. Availability changes, so get in touch and I'll let you know how things stand.
Working with trainees and qualified counsellors
If you're training, supervision is part of what your course requires, and I work within that alongside you. If you're already qualified, supervision isn't a course requirement anymore, but the professional expectation to stay in supervision continues, and the focus shifts to your own ongoing cases and development.
